From the Tropics to the Equator

 

Join Alison & Tom from The Grape Society as they dive into the tropical world and lead an introduction to rum, tequila and mezcal. There is a great deal more to these spirits than mixers for cocktails and in this session, we’ll explore, savour and sip the spirits themselves. Discover some of the many facets of rum – from throwing a Daiquiri with Jamaican over-proof rum, to exploring the layers of flavour in a mature old Guyanese sipping beauty.

 

You will also be transported to Mexico to taste and talk a little about the importance of agave drinks to Mexican culture and explore the key difference between artisan Mezcal and Tequilas.

 

£40* per person, available for members and up to three guests
