EVENT INFORMATION

At the heart of both novels are contemporary, edgy women, who may not be entirely sympathetic…

We are delighted to welcome back Diane Chandler, winner of the People’s Book Prize for Fiction 2016 with her new novel, Moondance and SE Lynes, whose psychological thriller, Valentina, has received rave reviews and has been shortlisted for this year’s People’s Book Prize for Fiction.

Diane and Susie will be talking about how readers judge female characters and whether we view them more harshly than male protagonists in fiction.

Moondance is about a couple very much in love who find themselves unable to conceive…

Valentina is about a young journalist who moves with her partner and new baby to a dream cottage in the Aberdeenshire countryside…

The event will be chaired by their publisher, Stephanie Zia of Blackbird Books, who can also share enlightening tips on the rise of digital publishing against the mainstream publishing world.

Cost: £5 members, £10 guests (all monies to our charity, Save the Children UK).

Time/Location: 7.00pm, Etruscan Room

Due to the popularity of our events, we are unable to offer refunds.
