Botanical Beverages and Aromatic Elixirs: Delicious and mysterious potions to stir the senses

 

Join Alison and Tom for an evening dedicated to Botanical Beverages and Aromatic Elixirs. With their origins as a medicine and digestive balm these drinks have evolved into some of the most complex, delicious and underrated drinks. Our hosts are huge fans and believe they are too good to leave to traditional drinking occasions such as a seasoning in cocktails, (especially the Martini), and as after dinner digestives.

 

For The Sipping Society in February we open the bottles and sample the characters of these intriguing drinks based on wine and spirits with secret blends of herbs, roots, flowers, roots, peels, barks, leaves and seeds. We will explore the stories of, and sample, Vermouth, Amari, Quinquina, Americano and complex herbal liqueurs.
