The Hidden LGBTQ+ History
EVENT INFORMATION
Join Home House member and Social Media Historian, Mok O’Keeffe as he shines a loving light on LGBTQ+ history.
Throughout his PhD Studies, Mok has discovered a hidden LGBTQ+ history. Over a glass of wine in the Etruscan Room, Mok will share the stories of Kings, Queens, Emperors and Great people of State, who are finally taking their place in the LGBTQ+ hall of fame. For hundreds of years, due to legal discrimination, family shame and or fear of blackmail, people have been told (or it has been heavily implied) that the great men and women of history were straight – which turns out to be untrue. In his talk, Mok will set this historic injustice right and aims to bring our LGBTQ+ ancestors loves and lives into the light.
£10 for members and £15 for guests*, tickets include a talk by Mok, a glass of wine and canapés.
