EVENT INFORMATION

Join us for an evening of much-needed laughter as we welcome three more fantastic acts from London’s stand-up comedy circuit to the stage: quirky performer Roger Monkhouse, act of the year winner Funmbie Omotayo and impressionist Stefano Paolini.

 

Roger Monkhouse

A consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, Roger Monkhouse`s trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit. Supremely confident, with audience banter down to an art form, Roger is happy to improvise freely but has no shortage of first class material in his armoury.

 

Funmbi Omotayo

Funmbi Omotayo’s friendly and instantly likeable style won him the award for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards. He has since gone on to win the prestigious Leicester Square New Act of the Year competition in 2012. Gently paced stories and anecdotes are delivered warmly and confidently from this relative newcomer. Funmbi is creating a huge storm on the comedy circuit with tales of living in Hackney, his Nigerian roots and hilarious day to day observations.

 

Stefano Paolini

Runner-up in Channel 4’s ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ award and in BBC’s ‘New Comedy Award’ , impressionist and beat boxer Stefano Paolini is now a regular headliner on the UK comedy circuit.

He has provided voices for Channel 4’s animated series ‘Bromwell High’, BBC 2’s ‘Double Take’ and on Radio 4’s ‘Dead Ringers’, and made his Edinburgh debut with the one man show ‘Britalian’, about his half-English, half-Italian heritage way back in 2005. A remarkable repertoire of voices and sounds has seen him perform in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Singapore, Germany, Malta, France and Italy.
