Discover the world of sustainable fashion through an engaging and educational workshop that empowers you to embrace a conscious and creative approach to clothing care and repairs. Led by the knowledgeable Marie Callan, the founder of Loop Lab (formerly known as URBAG), this workshop aims to demystify the art of repair while fostering your creativity.

 

Join us for a hands-on experience where you’ll delve into the basics of hand-sewing techniques, all while transforming a handmade pencil/make-up pouch into a unique masterpiece. You’ll work with premium fabric swatches and exquisite Liberty prints, gaining valuable skills in the process. Your efforts will be rewarded as you take home both the beautifully mended pouch you’ve crafted and a comprehensive travel sewing kit to continue your creative journey.

About Marie Callan

Founder, Marie Callan, has spent decades working in sustainability, from social enterprise and charity work to fostering discussions with industry leaders at the Financial Times. During her working years in Africa, she saw the devastation caused by plastic and textile waste and created Loop Lab upon her return to London She studied Textile at London College of Fashion and Sustainable Fashion and colours at Central Saint Martins, and now holds a residency in the experimental studios of Makerversity at Somerset House.
