Meet the Producer: Kozlović

We are delighted to welcome Gianfranco Kozlović who runs the family winery in the beautiful Istrian region of Croatia which was established in 1904.

They currently cultivate 25 hectares in the region which borders Friuli and the wines, food and people have a real connection with their Italian neighbours.

Gianfranco was part of a small gang of winemakers who really put Istria on the world’s wine map in the 1980s. He is a true perfectionist – constantly striving for ways to improve his wines. His approach to winemaking is very modern but always with the emphasis on showing the unique character of the Terra Rossa Terroir of Northern Istria.
