The estate is located in the small village of Saint-Antonin sur Bayon, high up in the region of Aix-en-Provence, France. It stands at over 550 metres above sea level on the Cengle plateau overlooked by Mont Sainte-Victoire, the well-known emblem of the region thanks to painter Paul Cézanne. The vines are grown on south-facing slopes right in the middle of a beautiful place classified as a Great European Site and Natura 2000 territory. The region has a long history of growing medicinal plants; and has always been a haven for healers, herbalists and ‘sorcerers’; ‘masco’ in the Provençal dialect, which have given the estate its name.
The wines are made with passion and rigour by the talented Yannick Burles and the help of famous Rhone Valley winemaker Yves Cuilleron. The vineyard is tended to according to organic principles and the range includes a Chardonnay, Viognier, a Syrah and Grenache blend rosé, and a Syrah. You can expect wines with ample freshness, due to the unique terroir of its minerally rich soil of clay & limestone, and the altitude of the vineyard.
