Meet the Producer: Capanna
EVENT INFORMATION
Join us for another extraordinary evening of fine wine as we welcome Daniele Marconi from the Italian winery, Capanna.
The Capanna farm has been owned by the Cencioni family since 1957 and is situated in the Montosoli area, to the north of Montalcino. It was founded by Giuseppe Cencioni and with the help of his sons Benito and Franco, it was one of the first farms of the modern period of Brunello. They started bottling their own wines in the 1960s and after Brunello di Montalcino was granted DOC status in 1966, Giuseppe was one of the 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.
The particular micro-climate of the vineyards, along with the favourable soil characteristics determines the production of wines with an excellent structure, always with good acidity, elegancy and fruitiness.
Enjoy a four-course menu paired with wine, curated by Executive Chef Robert Panek, and Head Sommelier Alis Jusic.
