The Power of the Flower – an evening with Nicki Chapman & Simon Lycett

 

Join us for a bloomin’ marvellous evening with Nicki Chapman and celebrity-florist Simon Lycett as we celebrate RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the world’s most prestigious horticultural event.

 

From rock stars and royalty to fun with flowers, TV presenter and broadcaster Nicki will talk about her experiences of everything Chelsea alongside floral demonstrations from celebrity-florist Simon Lycett who is best known as one of the UK’s most sought-after and well-known names in the industry. The tears and the tantrums from the months of hard work and preparation of the big build, up to the climax of ‘medal day’ itself. Having worked on the show since 2006, Nicki says presenting at Chelsea is the jewel in her TV crown and will share her love for the world’s most prestigious horticultural event, with a few amusing stories about her career and life along the way. This is an opportunity to really learn some of the mastery of creating beautiful displays, find out what’s hot at Chelsea, and a chance to get up close and personal with one of the best in floral design.

 

Members and guests will enjoy a floral cocktail and canapés on arrival as we begin the evening with a drinks reception in the Front Parlour, before moving into Eating Room where Nicki and Simon will be discussing ‘all things Chelsea’. At the end of the evening, you will also have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of one of Simon’s best-selling books at a discounted price – ‘The Flower Market Year’ for £16.00 and ‘People of the Flower Market’ for £13.50. Please note that only cash payments will be accepted.

 

Tickets include a floral cocktail and delicious canapés on arrival.

 

Programme

7:00pm – Drinks Reception

7:30pm – Nicki and Simon discussing ‘all things Chelsea Flower Show’ with a floral demonstration

7:50pm – Floral drinks to be served on arrival

8:10pm – Dual demonstration to take place as Simon leads Nicki with his creative guide and knowledge

8:30pm – Q&A and book signing

 

Tickets £40 per person, available for both Home House and Home Grown members and up to three guests
